Activity Centres

One of the main reasons that young people join Scouting is to go camping, go on sleepovers and generally spend Nights Away. This page contains details of campsites.

Moorlakes Wood, Gower

The newest site in our portfolio. Set in the heart of the Gower, Moorlakes Wood is currently underdevelopment but promices to deliver a unique Scouting experience in the near future.

On the site of an old WWII Air Base, the 40 acre sites offers heavy woodland dotted with clearings suitable for camping. The building on the site that have fallen into disrepair, however plans are in place to redevelop the building so that they can be utalised.

MAST Centre, Swansea Marina

Work on our new Marine Activity Scout Training Centre is complete.

Located in the Swansea Marina, our building known as MAST, is spread over two floors with showers, changing rooms, toilets, a kitchen and space for indoor activities. We have equipment and ample storage.

Silver Cross Website

Silver Cross, Penllergaer

Silver Cross is an ideal venue for all types of Scouting camps from a Patrol weekend through to a main Summer camp, a group or even a District. The site is made up of 15 acres of deciduous woodland, and is also bordered by the small river Llan. Along with the main camping area there is also a range of varying terrain, which is ideal for survival training, wide games, and many other activities.

Silver Cross can provide a number of activities such as Archery, Rifle Shooting, Climbing, Abseiling, Assault Course and Orienteering.

Cadoxton, Neath

Set in large woodlands, ideal camp site for activities, also as a winter expedition base, with many local attractions.

Top camping field has its own modern shower/toilet/washing block. Bottom camping field adjoins a large headquarters with leaders' rooms, bunks, toilet/washing/shower and a large fully equipped kitchen.

Parc-Le-Breos Website

Parc-Le-Breos, Gower

Located on the beautiful Gower peninsula, Parc-Le-Breos is in an extremely attractive setting, amidst well-established woodland with large open grassed areas. It provides an ideal location for wild back-to-basics camping and outdoor activities.

The site has mains water points and chemical toilet disposal units. Thanks to the Heritage Centre, Parkmill (400 metres off site) we have the use of toilets and hot showers (male & female), day and night, for a small charge that is made for tokens and a key.
